One of the many advantages
of our new open baffle monitors,
loudspeakers and diamond music system is that we do not use any type of passive crossovers.
This simplicity and purist approach provides superior sound quality and
flexibility.
We do not have any
coils, capacitors, resistors, L-Pads, chokes, circuit breakers,
polyswitch fuses or inductors mounted on a piece of wood or circuit board. Passive crossovers are so harmful that they even
degrade the sound quality of the top 2% of high-end loudspeakers using
premium 1% tolerance parts.
All passive crossovers
produce compression, inter-modulation
distortions, time delay problems, degrades transient response, degrades
dynamics up to 40% and the list goes on. These passive crossovers issues cannot be avoided no matter the
design or costs involve.
